Hello Everyone! I am back from my trip and ready to blog again!
England, Scotland and Ireland have the most beautiful countryside. Bucolic, I would say! I took many photos to inspire me when I got back to the states and I finished one today and began another! I am filled with ideas and inspiration! This piece is a Pastoral Landscape from Scotland and Ireland. Abstract, acrylic on a 24X36 canvas. I started with painting in a blue sky and used black paint to outline the different sections for the crops. The bright yellow sections, is a plant grown for their seeds and is such a beautiful, vibrant color. It was everywhere. I added some trees up on the hill and made one section a little more jagged. A red purple creek perhaps? The greens and golden yellows are so vibrant up against the red purple section as the sunlight streams over the hillside, very peaceful. I had to add one last detail, sheep! Sheep are everywhere there and are so beautiful! I loved painting this vibrant piece and and more is on the way! Please check back again soon! Thank you!
