Happy 2019 everyone!
This year I have decided to continue challenging myself with more abstract work, try my hand at different mediums, and take an art class to brush up on different genres of art. So stay tuned for my explorations! This painting is one that I started before the holidays. I call it, Other World Scape. I just let my imagination go and as you know, I love painting water and sky! I can spend hours on both detailing clouds and the flow and movement of water. I wanted this piece to be moody but not dark. Stormy but with bright skies on the horizon. I started with a river and cliffs. The stormy sky was added and the waterfall was next. The stormy sky and churning sea to the left meets up somewhere below the cliff with calm water and a beautiful sunset off in the distance. Or, will the churning sea and stormy sky take over the calm waters and beautiful sunset ahead? Thanks for checking in with me today!
