Hi Everyone! I took a couple weeks off from this Blog due to travel and setting up for my art show. It lasts all month at Dry City Brew Works! If you have not stopped by to check it out, there is about a week and a half left! 30 original pieces. Some old and some new! Thanks again for all of you who checked in and contacted me! Also thank you all for coming to last Sunday’s reception! It was fun to talk about each piece and hear your insights as well!
I have finished a commissioned piece for my client last week. Michigan Vibe’s. I also finished Rose’ View’s. Michigan Vibe’s is a view of Lake Michigan while the sun is setting and a beach below. The view is from my client’s deck, of the beautiful pink sunset. She was very happy with this piece! I started Rose’ View’s in class and then finished it up in my studio. I wanted more detail with shadows and shading, adding a glass of Rose’ and flowers to the planter. I wanted it to look like a lived in Villa where someone was sipping wine, looking out over the Vista and just stepped away for a moment. I really like how this piece came to life once the shadows were added. I have always been intrigued by shadows and reflections. At times I find them more interesting than the subject itself! Check out both of these pieces below! Or on my website. Thank you for checking in with me today!
