Hidden Cove

​I started Hidden Cove as an abstract piece, but this piece quickly turned into realism. I just felt it lacked a connection to what I wanted, and this canvas begged for details!
 
This secret and beautiful cove, is a made-up place in my mind of warm and cozy place that few know. Hidden behind a rock barrier, almost like The Cliff Walk in RI, one of my most favorite places ever. The sunset warm and casting light on the water, a canoe docked on the sand and a boat off in the distance. I can hear the waves gently slapping the shoreline, making this serene piece a place I want to be! I can see this piece in a beautiful bronze frame over a mantel!
