Hello and Thank You for checking in with me today!
Giving myself a challenge this past week, I kept this landscape totally abstract! Pulling myself away from the piece often to keep the detail minimal, was a challenge! I think I’m getting better at challenges! Sunset, started off with an asymmetrical sun and the sky behind, lit with brilliant orange yellow. I wanted the colors to be bold and to have contrast, so the sky has many different shapes to discover! Clouds in and sunbeam’s of light, reflecting on the evening sky. The sun’s rays and reflections meet up with a blue lake. Water falls from the ledge, bringing your eye down to see the red, orange rocks and green foliage in the foreground. This piece was fun to paint as I totally let my imagination go! Thank you!
